Nanaimo on Oct.10. At approximately 18:30, while climbing up to the
summit on the Malahat Hwy.(near the Arbutus lookout) the alternator
caught fire.The 20 passengers were safely evacuated & the Malahat
volunteer fire dept. quickly extinguished the fire.The coach had only
minimum fire damage to the engine compartment & rear seat area;how-
ever because of the age of the coach;it will probbably be written
